حول Noto Znamenny Musical Notation

Znamenny notation is a system of neumes used in Russian Orthodox chant, dating to at least the 11th century and remaining in liturgical use through the 17th century before being partially supplanted by five-line staff notation. Noto Znamenny Musical Notation provides Unicode coverage for this specialized symbol set, alongside math and general symbols, enabling musicologists and Orthodox liturgical scholars to typeset and study Znamenny manuscripts digitally. It is a niche but irreplaceable resource for the study and revival of ancient Slavic sacred music.
