Über uns Amiri
Amiri is a scholarly Arabic serif typeface by Khaled Hosny and Sebastian Kosch, reviving the Naskh calligraphic tradition of the nineteenth-century Bulaq Press in Cairo to create something simultaneously historical and screen-optimized. The design prioritizes legibility in continuous text, making it well-suited for Arabic literature, academic papers, and news publishing. Its relatively conservative, pen-influenced strokes distinguish it from more geometric modern Arabic designs, lending authenticity to formal documents and Quranic typography.
