Über uns Habibi
Magnus Gaarde's Habibi is a single-weight Arabic–Latin serif that aims to harmonize the proportional traditions of both scripts in a design rooted in classical Naskh calligraphy on the Arabic side and old-style humanist serifs on the Latin side. The name — meaning 'my dear' in Arabic — suggests the warmth of intention behind the design. Well suited to bilingual editorial work, literary publishing, and cultural institutions serving Arabic-speaking audiences alongside English or European-language content.
