The original Lobster by Impallari Type became one of the most recognizable display scripts of the early web era, distinguished by its extensive set of ligatures that allow letterforms to connect fluidly across dozens of letter pair combinations. The bold, brush-influenced strokes channel the American vernacular lettering tradition of the 1940s and 50s with a confident, swaggering energy. Cyrillic and Vietnamese support extended this characterful face to a far broader international audience.
