BhuTuka Expanded One, designed by Erin McLaughlin, is a serif typeface built specifically for the Gurmukhi script used in Punjabi, offering wide, expanded proportions that enhance legibility on screen. Its open letterforms and careful attention to the characteristic headstroke (shiromani) of Gurmukhi make it appropriate for headlines, signage, and digital publishing in Punjabi-language contexts.
