About Metamorphous
James Grieshaber designed Metamorphous as an architectural display typeface drawing inspiration from Roman imperial inscriptions and medieval stone carving, resulting in letterforms with angular, chiseled terminals and a monumental presence. The hybrid character — neither purely classical Roman nor wholly medieval — gives it a distinctive fantasy and historical genre quality. It suits game titles, fantasy novel covers, heraldic applications, and any display context requiring ancient gravitas.
