About Noto Sans Multani
Noto Sans Multani covers the Multani script, a historical Brahmic abugida historically used by Hindu merchants in the Multan region of present-day Pakistan, now largely displaced by Sindhi and Punjabi scripts. The single-weight design follows Noto's systematic approach to ensuring each character is legible and standardized, serving historians and linguists documenting 19th and early 20th century mercantile records and correspondence. It is primarily an archival and scholarly resource for South Asian script preservation.
