About Playwrite CU
Playwrite CU is a formal cursive handwriting font designed for Cuban penmanship instruction standards, created by TypeTogether under the direction of Veronika Burian and José Scaglione. The letterforms reflect the rounded, looped cursive style taught in Cuban schools, with careful attention to join angles and stroke rhythm. A variable weight axis (wght) allows subtle variation in pen pressure, making it useful for educational materials, invitations, and heritage-influenced stationery.
