About Playwrite CZ
Based on the cursive handwriting model taught in Czech schools, Playwrite CZ was developed by TypeTogether's Burian and Scaglione to faithfully replicate the rounded, connected letterforms of Czech schoolbook penmanship. The slightly rightward slant and continuous stroke design echo traditional European classroom writing pedagogy. With a variable weight axis, it transitions naturally from light, airy scripts suitable for decorative use to denser, more legible weights for formal handwritten-style layouts.
