About Playwrite PT
Playwrite PT captures the cursive handwriting style codified in the Portuguese national curriculum, faithfully reproducing the specific letterform conventions taught in Portuguese schools. TypeTogether's Veronika Burian and José Scaglione have built the variable weight axis to span from Thin to Regular, enabling the font to serve both display applications and practical educational materials. Its letterforms carry the rhythmic, connected quality characteristic of Continental European handwriting traditions with a distinctly Iberian flavor.
