About Pochaevsk
Pochaevsk by Aleksandr Andreev is a display typeface rooted in the ecclesiastical Cyrillic letterforms of early printed Church Slavonic books, drawing inspiration from the typographic tradition of the Pochaev Lavra monastery in western Ukraine. The design carries the weight of historical Orthodox liturgical printing, with angular, structured strokes that evoke metal type cut for religious publishing in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is ideal for projects touching on Eastern European religious heritage, historical themes, and Slavic cultural identity, supporting both Cyrillic and extended Cyrillic scripts.
