Noto Sans Chorasmian encodes the Chorasmian script, an extinct writing system used along the Amu Darya river in Central Asia from roughly the second century BCE to the eighth century CE, related to the Aramaic script family. The single-weight face supports math and symbol ranges alongside the historic script itself, making it useful for multilingual scholarly editions and historical linguistics research. Its presence in the Noto project underscores the commitment to covering every script with a Unicode block, including those no longer in active use.
