Ponnala, designed by Appaji Ambarisha Darbha, is a display typeface for the Telugu script that brings a decorative, festive energy to its letterforms through slightly rounded corners, generous proportions, and a warm visual weight. Telugu's complex conjunct character system is handled with care, ensuring that even in its display register the font remains functional for actual Telugu text.
