Developed by the Braille Institute in collaboration with Applied Design Works, Letters From Sweden, and others, Atkinson Hyperlegible Mono extends the accessibility-first philosophy of the original Hyperlegible family into a monospaced format specifically engineered to maximize character disambiguation for readers with low vision. Each glyph is designed with exaggerated differentiating features—distinct zeros, ones, and lowercase L's—that reduce misreading errors under challenging conditions. Its variable weight axis across seven points makes it equally valuable for code editors, terminal emulators, and inclusive UI design systems.
