Noto Serif Khitan Small Script provides Unicode rendering for this enigmatic script, enabling sinologists, historians, and computational linguistics researchers to work with Khitan inscriptions and manuscripts digitally. The serif design acknowledges the script's monumental inscription origins, where Khitan characters were carved into stone stelae across Inner Mongolia and Manchuria.
