Playwrite DE Grund Guides is the pedagogical variant of the German Grundschrift (GS) handwriting model, overlaying the letterforms with the baseline and guide lines used in German primary school handwriting instruction. Unlike the more elaborate VA or SAS German scripts, the Grundschrift model emphasizes simple, unjoined letterforms that children can easily form without complex entry and exit strokes. The guides version is a specialized tool for German elementary school teachers producing handwriting practice materials.
