About Tilt Prism

Andy Clymer's Tilt Prism is one of three related variable display fonts that simulate three-dimensional letterforms through variable rotation axes — in Prism, the forms appear as extruded prismatic glass-like shapes, with the XROT and YROT axes controlling how each character's face tilts in the horizontal and vertical planes. As the axes change, the light and shadow across the letterforms shift convincingly, creating an animated dimensional effect in static or interactive contexts. Vietnamese support is included, and it is best reserved for large-scale display work — logotypes, headlines, and interactive web typography — where the 3D illusion has room to read.
