Tiro Bangla, created by Tiro Typeworks with type scholars John Hudson, Fiona Ross, and Neelakash Kshetrimayum, is a scholarly serif typeface crafted specifically for the Bengali script with deep attention to calligraphic tradition and OpenType typographic refinement. The design supports complex conjunct characters and vowel marks with careful optical tuning developed in consultation with Bengali script experts. Its single weight targets high-quality literary publishing, academic texts, and any context where authentic, historically informed Bengali typography is essential.
