Khula by Erin McLaughlin was developed with a specific focus on providing high-quality Devanagari type for digital publishing — its large x-height, open apertures, and sturdy stroke structure maintain legibility at small sizes across Hindi, Marathi, and Sanskrit text. Five Latin weights complement the Devanagari glyphs for bilingual layouts. It fills a genuine need in the underserved space of text-optimized Indic web typography.
