Part of Adobe's Source type system, Source Code Pro was designed by Paul D. Hunt as a fixed-pitch complement to Source Sans — sharing its humanist proportions while adopting the even character widths required for code display. The variable weight axis spanning eight stops is a notable engineering achievement for a monospace typeface, and broad script support including Cyrillic, Greek, and Vietnamese makes it one of the most internationally capable coding fonts available.
