Fira Mono from Carrois Apostrophe originated as the monospaced member of Mozilla's Fira type system, designed to pair with Firefox OS interfaces. Its clean, slightly humanized letterforms hold up well in code editors and terminal environments, with three weights providing modest but useful range. Cyrillic, Greek, and extended Latin coverage — including the less common Symbols2 block — reflect its origins in a global platform ecosystem.
