Libertinus Serif, developed by Philipp H. Poll as a fork of the Linux Libertine project, is a classical oldstyle serif suitable for long-form scholarly and literary typesetting. It covers Latin, Cyrillic, Cyrillic Extended, Greek, Greek Extended, Hebrew, and Vietnamese scripts in regular, bold, and italic cuts, making it one of the more comprehensive open-source text faces for multilingual academic work. Its proportions and spacing are calibrated for comfortable reading at body-text sizes in books, theses, and journals.
