Masaram Gondi is a newly encoded Unicode script created in the nineteenth century by Munshi Mangal Singh Masaram for the Gondi language, spoken by the Gondi people of central India. This Noto typeface provides faithful support for the script's abugida structure, where consonants carry an inherent vowel modified by diacritics. It serves scholarly, linguistic, and cultural preservation projects working with Gondi-language materials.
