The Simplified Chinese serif counterpart to Noto Serif TC, Noto Serif SC covers the GB18030 Simplified Chinese character set used across mainland China, alongside Cyrillic and Vietnamese script support. Eight variable weights enable complete typographic hierarchies for editorial, publishing, and product design contexts. Its meticulous stroke construction follows the conventions of Chinese Songti typefaces while harmonizing with the Latin Noto design system.
