Noto Sans Tangsa provides digital support for the Tangsa script, developed in the mid-twentieth century for the Tangsa people of Arunachal Pradesh in northeastern India and adjacent Myanmar. The variable weight axis spanning four weights gives the face flexibility for both body and display use in a script with limited existing digital resources. It represents the Noto project's commitment to preserving writing systems of smaller language communities.
