Nüshu is a syllabic script historically used exclusively by women in Jiangyong County, Hunan Province, China — one of the very few known writing systems created by and for women. Noto Traditional Nüshu supports the full Unicode Nüshu block with a five-step variable weight axis, giving typographers and scholars flexibility in rendering this culturally significant script.
