Acerca de League Gothic
League Gothic began as a revival of the classic condensed grotesque Alternate Gothic No. 1 from American Type Founders, and this variable iteration by Tyler Finck and collaborators adds a width axis that lets designers dial between ultra-compressed and moderately condensed proportions. Originally released by The League of Moveable Type as an open-source contribution to typographic culture, it carries genuine historical weight as a workhorse American display type. Its natural domain is poster headlines, newspaper front pages, and bold editorial layouts where maximum words in minimum horizontal space is the goal.
