Acerca de Noto Sans Bamum
The Bamum script was invented in the early 20th century by Sultan Ibrahim Njoya of the Bamum Kingdom in present-day Cameroon, evolving through six distinct phases before settling on its current syllabic form. Noto Sans Bamum supports the full Unicode Bamum block with a variable weight axis, ensuring the script can be rendered across a range of design applications from text-weight body copy to heavier display use. It supports digital preservation of Bamum cultural and royal records, which remain in active use by the Bamum community.
