Acerca de Nuosu SIL
Developed by SIL International, Nuosu SIL is a purpose-built typeface for the Yi script — specifically the standardized Nuosu (Northern Yi) syllabary used by the Yi people of southwestern China — providing a clean, readable sans-serif rendering of this logosyllabic writing system's approximately 1,165 syllables. The design prioritizes functional legibility for Yi-language educational and governmental materials. As one of the very few typefaces to address this script at all, it is an essential Unicode compliance tool for Yi-language digital publishing.
