Playwrite DE LA Guides provides the teaching annotation layer for Playwrite DE LA, the typeface based on the Lateinische Ausgangsschrift — the traditional Latin-origin cursive that preceded the simplified German script in many schools. Designed by TypeTogether's Veronika Burian and José Scaglione, it shows stroke-order arrows over the more elaborate, italic-influenced letterforms of this historical German school script. It serves educators in regions or schools that still teach or study this older tradition.
