Sahitya, designed by Juan Pablo del Peral, is a literary Devanagari serif typeface whose name translates to 'literature' in Sanskrit, reflecting its purpose as a typeface for extended reading in Hindi and related scripts. The design harmonizes classical Devanagari proportions with roman serif conventions to create a pan-script typeface system that works gracefully in bilingual publishing, academic texts, and digital books.
