Besley by Owen Earl is a revival of the nineteenth-century Clarendon slab-serif tradition updated for contemporary screen use — bracketed square serifs, moderate x-height, and sturdy proportions give it the visual confidence of Victorian newspaper and advertising type without the rendering difficulties of authentic antique letterforms.
