About Koulen
Koulen by Danh Hong is a display typeface designed specifically for the Khmer script, featuring bold upright letterforms that draw on the distinctive curved and angular structures of the script's traditional calligraphic heritage. The design emphasizes strong vertical strokes and generous counters to maintain legibility at display sizes. As one of relatively few Khmer display typefaces available for digital use, it fills an important role in Cambodian signage, branding, and cultural publishing.
