About Besley

Besley by Owen Earl is a revival of the nineteenth-century Clarendon slab-serif tradition updated for contemporary screen use — bracketed square serifs, moderate x-height, and sturdy proportions give it the visual confidence of Victorian newspaper and advertising type without the rendering difficulties of authentic antique letterforms. The variable weight axis runs from Regular through Black, and its six named instances provide excellent typographic range. It suits editorial branding, publishing, and any project that wants historical authority with digital reliability.
