Boutros Fonts, Arlette Boutros, and Volker Schnebel created Beiruti as a multilingual sans-serif that spans Arabic and Latin scripts in a single coherent design system — the Arabic portion is rooted in the Naskh calligraphic tradition but simplified toward a contemporary geometric clarity, while the Latin complements it with similar proportions and weight distribution. The variable weight axis (wght) spans eight instances for both scripts, enabling consistent typographic hierarchy in bilingual Arabic-Latin publications, apps, and branding. Vietnamese support extends its Latin-script versatility, making it a genuinely global text typeface.
